Wrist and Hand Orthoses

Wrist Orthotics (Wrist Brace):

A wrist orthotic, commonly referred to as a wrist brace, is a medical device designed to provide support, stability, and immobilization to the wrist joint. It is typically made of materials like fabric, plastic, or metal, and it wraps around the wrist and hand. Wrist braces are used to restrict motion in the wrist, alleviate pain, and provide support for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist sprains, tendonitis, or after wrist injuries or surgeries. They help protect the wrist and promote healing.

Hand Orthotics:

Hand orthotics are medical devices designed to support and assist the hand, fingers, and thumb. They can take various forms, including finger splints, thumb braces, or custom-made hand orthoses. These devices are used to address a range of hand conditions, such as arthritis, trigger finger, Dupuytren's contracture, or after hand surgeries. Hand orthotics aim to improve hand function, reduce pain, and prevent deformities by providing support, immobilization, or corrective positioning for the hand and fingers. Custom-made hand orthotics are often tailored to the individual's unique hand anatomy and condition.
